The Holiday Palace Resort and Casino is planning on being the ‘premier’ Texas Holdem Poker venue in Sihanoukville.
They are currently working together with SilverHeritage, who traditionally are a Slot Machine Distributer throughout Asia, to develop a Texas Holdem Poker School at the Holiday Palace. Both companies have worked together on the ’sister’ hotel in Poipet and have already run a successful, $500 USD Buy in, Poker Tournament and they have to continue this success here in Sihanoukville.
Their plans for having a Texas Holdem Poker School at the Holiday Palace are particularly impressive, with 6 tables and well trained staff for novice players to develop their Poker Playing skills.
The plan is currently for customers to pay a fixed fee for a days Poker tuition, this way you are not risking any ‘real’ money, but simply paying for a well run introduction to the game of Texas Holdem Poker.

It appears that the demand for Texas Hold’em Poker events is gaining even more momentum, with an increasing number of ’small stake’ venues opening up.
Regular Poker tournaments are now being staged at a number of ‘Bar’ type establishments, even ‘Donalds’ (the burger bar in the Golden Lion Plaza Complex) is offering Poker Nights!
However, one of these newcomers is, i’m sure, going to attract a loyal following. The ‘Hard Rock’ bar just of Ekreach Street in the middle of town, has recently opened (16th March) and is offering Texas Hold’em every Wednesday and Saturday evening.
The events start at 7:00pm (19:00 hrs) and have only a nominal buy in, re-buys and add-ons available.
We’ll be attending the next Texas Hold’em night held and will give our report here.
